Chalk Art on Design Institutes Walls

Chalk Art on Design Institutes Walls

I was asked to draw on Design Institute Amman's black chalk walls and chose to illustrate the creative process itself. Drawing the hands that create the work, the heart that is passionate about the idea, and the brain that is the implimentor and analyzer of the idea. The wall was featured as a backdrop to Her Majesty Queen Ranias visit to the DIA at a talk discussing the investment of design in school curriculums, March 13 2017

Talias book

A book made from the heart

2 years ago in the middle of Covid - my sister got pregnant and moved to Canada. She would send us updates of how big my niece was getting in her belly.. the size of a lemon! An avocado! A cabbage! Until the day she was born. Those 9 months inspired me to write this book - in my colloquial/ broken/ often made-up Arabic, about my gorgeous baby niece and how she grew in my sisters belly to become the unique adorable bright cuddly baby girl she is ❤️ we love you Talia.

Email me if you're in the U.S.

She's an Avocado!

I also matched her growing stages with what the embryo can do at the time. For example when the baby is the size of the avocado is when they kick the most!

It's a Boy :)

And because we want to include all babies, we decided with the publisher Kalila wa Dimna to create a boy version.
