Ying Yang Self Portrait

Ying Yang Self Portrait

Local photographer Bashar Alaeddin wanted to document an artist (myself) painting my own self portrait on his studio wall. I picked the studio wall corner to create an interesting take on “perspective” and the different sides to ones portrait and personality. Each side is seen differently from wherever you stand. One side is predominantly black (ying) and the other white (yang) as there is good and bad in all of us.

I picked the wall corner to play on perspective and the different sides to one’s portrait and personality. Each side is seen differently depending on where you stand. One side is predominantly black (ying) and the other white (yang) reflecting the good and bad in each of us.
